About the Book
So begins the story of starship captain Bill Reed.
Separated from his love so she may marry another, Reed is banished to the far end of the Realm. Vowing to win her back through glorious victory, Reed instead finds himself in irons. To make his escape and find redemption, he allies with a separatist raider on a quest to find powerful artifacts. To keep them from rebel hands, Reed must risk his ship, his love, and his life in a desperate struggle against not only the rebellion, but also his own crew, and, ultimately, the artifacts themselves.
